22 September 2008 – 2008-9 Programme Launch
The 2008-9 programme will be launched on 22 September 4-6pm at the University of Otago Campus Queen Street Auckland. All potential Project Sponsors are invited to an evening to meet previous sponsors and interns and to contribute to the current year’s programme. 2 July 2008 – University of Otago joins the Regional ICT Internship Programme
On 2 July a MOU was signed between Accelerating Auckland and the University of Otago forming a partnership to support the Regional ICT Internship Programme. Dr Eric Walton the University of Otago liaison manager in Auckland said “This partnership helps us build on our existing good relationships with industry in Auckland. Many Otago students either live in Auckland or will welcome the opportunity to spend time working with industry in Auckland on an internship”.
29 February 2008 – Internship Graduation
The interns presentations to Accelerating Auckland, their sponsors and their peers were presented at Massey University. Following the presentations a formal graduating ceremony was held for the eight interns whole completed the programme.
Deputy Vice Chancellor John Raine welcomed the graduating interns to Massey and the Hon Maurice Williamson addressed the 50 attendees and presented certificates to the interns and sponsors.
